Columbia is in Maryland, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Columbia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

On July 30, between approximately 10:10–10:15 AM, I observed an interaction that left me disappointed with Maya’s leadership and overall presence. Betty was working tirelessly at the register while a line of customers had formed. Rather than stepping in to assist, Maya called Khalia over to open another register. Khalia had been actively working on the floor stocking Christmas merchandise and had to stop what she was doing to help with the growing line. Meanwhile, Maya continued looking through the newly displayed merchandise and walking around the store. I also didn’t notice much effort to welcome or engage with customers during this time. I understand that leaders have responsibilities that customers may not always see, but I believe leadership is also demonstrated through small moments like this. When the team is visibly busy and customers are waiting, seeing a leader step in and support their employees makes a difference. Betty and Khalia both appeared to be working extremely hard, and I felt bad watching them handle the rush while Maya seemed disengaged. Based on what I personally observed during this visit, I think Maya’s leadership and willingness to support her team dur

I came to Hobby Lobby for a few specific items and was having trouble finding magnetic tape. I stumbled across a group of three employees restocking an aisle, and I asked if one of them could help me find it. Dawn greeted me with an immediate smile and was eager to help me (the other staff were pleasant too, but Dawn was too quick for them!). She showed me right where it was and I was in line to check out a few minutes later. The checkout line was long, but anyone with eyes/awareness could see how hard the employees were working to check everyone out. I happened to see Dawn jump onto a register to help out too (mind you, she had just been stocking items). A woman who had been behind me in line decided to cut the line and walk straight over to Dawn’s check-out counter. Dawn politely and firmly told the customer that she needed to wait in line, and that she would be taking the next person in order to be fair to the rest of us. She did it all gracefully and with a smile. I’ve never been so impressed by an employee before. I hope Dawn is working the next time I stop by!

This store is absolutely fantastic! They have a huge selection of crafts and supplies available at great prices. I love that you can always find wonderful decorations here for every room in your house. I especially enjoy the excellent discounts they place on seasonal items.

Ayeh was 100% so helpful today. I went in to buy 2 cartoons of cigarettes. Newport have a discount when you buy so many packs. I forgot my sheets card and Emily (which I found out later was the store manager), gave me a new card. Which was greatly appreciated. When I looked at the total, I noticed only $5.00 came off. I knew it had to be more. Emily explained it only took tgat amount off because my card wasn't registered. I went to my car to register the app. Yet another app on my phone, ugh. This time, Ayeh helped me. I went back k in went through the entire process again. Same thing, only $5. came off. I said to her that this is wrong there should be more taken off. I asked how many packs you have to be to get a dollar amount off. She took the time to ring up by individual pack and $17.50 came off. I know cigarettes are bad for me. But in a time where everyone is watching every penny and in this case every dollar. I GREATLY appreciate the customer service and taking the time to figure out how to help me. I asked for the Manager, so I could express my gratitude for Ayeh and up walks Emily. It was awkward a little for me because if Emily had provided the same customer service

Decent location overall - there's a lot of selection, a lot of good deals, the store is organized, and it's mainly well stocked. The main complaint is that the floors didn't look great (there were large patches of unfinished floors, but maybe they were fixing them?). Either way, it was still a decent location overall, and similar to other Hobby Lobby's!
